Financial Requirements for Canada Student Visa
Bank Statement Amount:
Tuition Fees (for the first year of study)
Living Expenses:
For students outside Quebec: CAD 10,000/year
For students in Quebec: CAD 11,000/year
Additional Family Members:
CAD 4,000/year for a spouse or partner
CAD 3,000/year for each accompanying child
Fixed Deposit/Provident Fund (FDR/PF): Accepted as proof of funds for your Canadian student visa.
Bank Loan: Accepted.

CGPA Requirements:

Academic Gap: Generally, 2–3 years of gap is accepted.
Dependents: Spouse/Partner and children (under 22) are allowed.
Visa Processing Time:
Application & Visa Processing: 2-3 months
Visa Approval: 4-6 weeks
Work Permit:
During Study: Up to 20 hours/week
During Breaks: Unlimited work hours
Post-Graduation: Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) allows unlimited work hours based on the length of the study program.
PGWP Duration: Up to 3 years for 2+ year programs.
Medical & Police Certificates: Required if specified by the university or program.
How to Stay in Canada After Graduation
Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP)
Eligibility: Completed a program at a Designated Learning Institution (DLI), at least 8 months in duration.
Apply online via IRCC.
Documents: Transcript, proof of completion, study permit.
Processing Time: 2-3 months.
Duration: Up to 3 years for 2+ year programs.
Transition to Permanent Residency (PR)
Express Entry: Eligible under Canadian Experience Class (CEC) after 1 year of Canadian work experience.
Provincial Nominee Program (PNP): Apply for PR with a job offer in a province.
Temporary Resident Visa (TRV): Apply if study permit expires while waiting for PGWP or PR processing.
