Tuition Fees:
Institutional Tuition Fee for Non-EU/EEA Students (2025-2026): €10,372 (Annual Fee)

Bachelor Programs Available:

  1. Creative Business

    • Degree: Bachelor

    • Duration: 4 years (Full time)

  2. International Business

    • Degree: Bachelor

    • Duration: 4 years (Full time)

  3. Teacher Education in English

    • Degree: Bachelor

    • Duration: 4 years (Full time)

  4. Teacher Education in French

    • Degree: Bachelor

    • Duration: 4 years (Full time)

  5. Teacher Education in German

    • Degree: Bachelor

    • Duration: 4 years (Full time)

  6. Teacher Education in Spanish

    • Degree: Bachelor

    • Duration: 4 years (Full time)

Admission Requirements:

  • You need a diploma comparable to the Dutch Mbo-4 or Havo diplomas.

  • Generally, a diploma that provides access to higher education in your home country qualifies for admission at HU.

  • Admissions are evaluated based on Nuffic's diploma evaluation system.

  • You must provide a (transcribed) copy of your diploma for official evaluation.

Language Requirements:

  • IELTS: Minimum score 6.0 (Academic, at a test centre)

  • TOEFL: Minimum score 80 (iBT Test, at a test centre)

  • PTE Academic: Minimum score 61 (at a test centre)

Application Deadlines:

  • 31 May for September intake

  • Applications must be submitted through Studielink.

Scholarships Available:

  1. NL Scholarship

    • Amount: €5,000

    • Eligibility:

      • Non-EEA nationality.

      • Paying the higher, non-EU tuition fee.

      • Excellent study results in previous studies.

      • Admitted to one of the English-taught bachelor programs at HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht.

      • Not eligible for any other scholarship or grant.

      • Never before studied in the Netherlands (except for preparatory language course).

    • Application Deadline: 1 May for the September intake.

    • Decision: Final decision within six weeks after the application deadline.

  2. HU Talent Scholarship (HTS)

    • Amount: €3,000

    • Eligibility:

      • Non-EEA nationality and paying the higher institutional tuition fee.

      • Not eligible for any other scholarship or student grant.

      • Starting the second year or higher at HU.

      • At least 50 out of 60 EC for the previous academic year (also required for transfer students).

  1. Master Data-driven Design (MA)

    • Relevant Bachelor's degree in:

      • Communication and Multimedia Design (CMD),

      • Creative Business,

      • Journalism,

      • Communication,

      • International Business,

      • ICT,

      • Data-driven Design.

  2. Master Next Level Engineering (MSc)

    • Relevant Bachelor's degree in:

      • Mechanical Engineering,

      • Electrical Engineering,

      • Industrial Engineering & Management,

      • Built Environment,

      • ICT,

      • Aviation.

  3. Master Sustainable Business Transition (MSc)

    • Relevant Bachelor's degree in:

      • International Business,

      • Creative Business,

      • Business Administration,

      • Entrepreneurship,

      • Retail Management,

      • Logistics Management,

      • Supply Chain Management.

Duration of Master's Programs:

  • 1 year (Full time)

Language Requirements for Master's Programs:

  • IELTS: Minimum overall score 6.5, no sub-score under 6.0

  • TOEFL: Minimum overall score 90, no sub-score under 20

  • PTE Academic: Minimum overall score 65, no sub-score under 61
